Wow, soooo much happened in last night's Episode 9 of Season 7 of the Bach (Despite being so rudely interrupted by the President of our country, ok maybe whatever he was saying could've been sort of important)! First of all, I want to make a short ode to Ames. I meant to do this in my last post but it became kind of lengthy so I wanted to be sure and mention him this time. Ok, so not a legit ode but just a small dedication! Oh Ames, we all knew he was awkward, and it was inevitable for him to go home sooner or later. But, I wanted to point out what a great guy Ames seems to be even though he may not have the smooth, romantic sides like JP and Ben have. Ames was eliminated in the 8th rose ceremony and I believe he made it so far because of his many great qualities. Ames is a portfolio manager who lives in NY. He spoke of his numerous travels and it seems he leads quite an exciting life. His sister (I believe) told Ashley how he is known for doing surprise romantic things for women and is quite thoughtful. It was evident that he did put a lot of effort into every word he said and he really listened to Ashley. When you summarize him like that, he comes off almost perfect! He smiled THE ENTIRE show! By the end my friends and I were like, "Please show that you're human with some other emotion!!" In the end, the chemistry just wasn't there and he was sent home. Just as I was with almost every other guy who left, the second he wasn't smiling I felt SO guilty for wishing he would stop, like I was the one who kept the rose from him! HAH! Sometimes I think we get too into this reality TV thing! Anyways, I feel that Ames will make some lucky girl very happy. He may not be the dreamy not-so-awkward guy, but there is no doubt in my mind that when he does find the one he is going to treat her like a princess and will always have respect for her (which if you haven't noticed, is sometimes kind of hard to find these days).
Ok! Now, moving on. Well for one, please allow me a moment to celebrate that my boys Ben and JP are....WHAT? THE FINAL TWOOOOO WOOOO WOOOOO!!!!! Ok....sorry. Let's be honest here, those dates were to die for! Who isn't jealous right now? Ben's date was fun but serious, silly but oh so romantic! ugh! I will admit, I like Ben so much that when Ashley was sunscreening him up I was getting a little protective...she needed to stop touching my man! HAH! Really though, they seriously could end up together. JP's date was also impressive! At this point I am honestly so confused as to who she is going to pick, but secretly I'm pushing for Ben!
Now to the REAL Drama. First off, Ryan Ryan Ryan. Ohhhh man Ryan. While watching this show, I always try to put myself into the shoes of the people everyone is so harshly criticising, and please allow me to point out I could NEVER be on this show. From the jealousy of competing for the Bach or the decisiveness of finding a guy as the Bachelorette, this job is cleeearly not for me. So that being said, I do not envy either of the positions being had on this show, but when Ryan flew allll the way to Fiji after already being sent home I felt like he was setting himself up for disaster. Ryan ended up being seen as very annoying to the rest of the guys on the show as it kept progressing. Yes, he seemed to be like a nice guy and just as Ames was, he was always smiling and positive but also lacked the romance. I will admit he was beginning to annoy me as well, until I saw his face when Ashley sent him home. He was clearly shocked and totally heart broken. As he tried to avoid showing the tears to the camera in his last interview, it was evident that he has very strong feelings for Ashley and did not expect to go home at all. Keeping this in consideration, maybe it should not have came as such a surprise that he felt it necessary to fly halfway around the world to be sure Ashley didn't make a mistake. On the one hand as one of my facebook friends put it in her status, "Alright dude she kicked you off...take a hint", but on the other you have to give this guy props. You know those times when something happens and you leave and continue to analyze it unnecessarily over and over again in your head wondering if that was supposed to happen or if the other person is thinking the same thing? Well, most of the time I don't have the guts to go seek out the issue with the person so instead I waste my own time and energy thinking about something that I have no intention of changing, which let me remind you, could be much better spent doing something productive. Ryan could have easily taken this road, but instead he took the harder one. Ryan, as crazy and stalkerish as he may seem, got up the courage that I would guess most people could never find, and instead of just thinking about the issue, went to figure it out so he could move on with his life. Now, if this was your friend and some guy and she just had to pick up the phone to call him and figure it out, you may respect her and say well I am proud of you for trying. The difference here is, he didn't pick up the phone, he flew to freakin Fiji...on national television. This of course has given America the impression that Ryan is kind of...too much. I can totally see this argument, but in the end I actually do respect him. If he hadn't done this, he would have wasted only God knows how much time and energy thinking of what could have been while all along he could be doing something so much better, or his perfect girl could even be right under his nose. Had he not spoken with Ashley, he may have missed all of it. So, his next girlfriend should be so thankful, because now I feel even though Ryan got rejected twice, I think he has some closure and can move on and open for the next best thing in his life. I hope America can see that and maybe not be so harsh on him from now on. :)
Whew, sorry that was super long but that was kind of a big deal! Now onto Constantine. Wahh:( even though he wasn't one of my absolute favsies, I was sad to see him go. In my and my mom's opinion, I almost feel like he left because he knew how strongly Ben felt for Ashley and he acknowledged the fact that at the end of this he wasn't ready to ask Ashley to marry him. I find this to be so mature and respectful of him. I think Ashley seemed to feel almost rejected because of this, but in the long run she should be thankful. She said she was sad he didn't want to see what time would have done but in reality she would have sent him home the next day and a few hours wasn't going to change the fact that he wasn't ready for marriage. Most guys would just be competitive and want to win the show just to win, but he was respectful and mature enough to let her know the connections and relationships she had with the other guys were obviously further along than the ones they had together. It takes a really good person to be able to do so, and there is no doubt in my mind that Constantine will have NO problem finding himself another woman!:)
SO needless to say, last night was FOR SURE eventful on The Bach and Ashley has two awesome guys to choose from. Next week they meet her family and then the FINAL ROSE! but don't forget, Sunday night is the reunion where there is sure to be more...you guessed it.. DRAMA! And I'm sure I'll be covering it all the morning after! Thanks for reading:)
